Brief History

     The HRILG is one of many Regional Industry Liaison Groups (ILG) in the United States. The ILG was developed by the Office of Federal Contract and Compliance Programs (OFCCP) in the early 80's to encourage open communication between the federal contractor community and the OFCCP. 

     During its inception back in the 80's the ILG was well received by the federal contractor community where the goal was to put aside the adversarial relationship that characterized the interaction between the OFCCP and the federal contractor community.  This group allowed for the development of a more positive partnership to achieve their mutual Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity goals.

Mission Statement

We promote Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity by working closely with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs, Employment Opportunity Commission, related administrative agencies and Local and Regional ILGs to:

• Advocate the positions and viewpoints of our constituents
• Help Influence regulatory and legislative outcomes
• Educate our constituents on developments regarding equal employment
  opportunity and affirmative action and related regulatory changes

We accomplish this mission by carrying out the activities outlined in our bylaws and by achieving targeted objectives.
